Russian consul in Switzerland suggests attracting blockchain investments into Crimea

Karl Eckstein, the Russian consul in Switzerland, believes that it would be reasonable to create Crimean blockchain platform for anonymous foreign investors, which could be beneficial for the region as well.

According to his statement, many western businessmen would like to invest in Russian projects, however, they prefer to stay away because of the sanctions.

“Make a blockchain platform for anonymous investments, so that no one knows where the money comes from. These investments have to be untraceable”, — suggests the consul.

Eckstein is not the first person who suggests a similar plan. Back in April, Russian business ombudsman Boris Titov suggested establishing a Crypto Valley in the Crimea, analogical to the one in the Swiss canton of Zug.
