This initiative was announced recently by federal deputy Boris Chernyshov, as presidential adviser on Internet development, German Klimenko wrote in his telegram-channel.
“City of miners will help people to earn more money, buy flats and other necessities. It’ll enrich the state budget due to the taxes inflow as well. If we establish such a settlement somewhere on the border with China, let’s say, it may attract a lot of tourists. It may become a forum-location and bring investments from the abroad. This could be a driver, a point of growth,”— suggested Chernyshov.
As a comment to this suggestion, German Klimenko pointed out that the equipment and specialists in blockchain and mining will cost a lot of money.
